Download Press Release As A PDFWith today’s delivery of a new Nissei injection molding machine to the East Lake High School (East Lake, FL), the “Academy of Engineering” program has received in excess of over $600,000 in equipment donations including a new HAAS CNC Mill and HAAS CNC Turning Machines. 

“There is not a high school in the country which has the quantity or the quality of equipment on their floor for training the next generation of industrial, manufacturing engineers and machinists.  This new machinery brings our STEM & PLTW curriculum to new heights in delivering project-based learning for students.  How can a 15 year old high school student in the Academy of Engineering, not be ecstatic about the prospects for their future?”, says J. Paul Wahnish, President, Career Technical Education Foundation, Inc. and Department Chair for the East Lake High School, Academy of Engineering.

Paul Bernard-President of Seaway Plastics Engineering adds, “we are very excited that East Lake High School, under the leadership of Paul Wahnish has established the Academy of Engineering.  Partnering with Seaway equipment suppliers HAAS and Nissei has helped to make this dream come true.
