Seaway's Growth Continues
In Four Strategic Areas:

Micro, Big, Cleanroom and Finishing

Seaway has acquired the “micro”-injection molding assets of TNI Manufacturing and our Brooksville facility has added an enclosed, environmentally controlled manufacturing area that will house these newly acquired micro-molding machines.  The micro-molding work cell is now fully functional and in production.  Our Brooksville operation now has a total of 11 injection molding machines in addition to the 20 machines already located at the Port Richey plant.  Our 31 injection molding machines range in size from 33-ton to 950-ton.

Speaking of the 950-ton press, our new “big” Nissei injection molding machine was delivered earlier this year to our Port Richey location and placed into operation with a robot.  A new over-head 10-ton crane was installed to handle these new larger sized molds and is yet another invaluable asset in our growing operation.

To support our customers seeking a “cleanroom” environment, Seaway purchased a Class 10,000 portable cleanroom for the Brooksville facility.  Recently the cleanroom was certified and meets ISO Class 7 standards. In addition to the portable clean room, we are in the process of planning for a hard walled, permanent cleanroom manufacturing area.  Additionally, our terrific quality team is hard at work preparing for our ISO 13485:2008 audit that we plan on successfully passing later this year.

Seaway's sister company, Florida Finishing (www.floridafinishing.com) recently completed their expansion on the Seaway-Port Richey campus with the addition of more paint booths and silk-screening equipment.   Florida Finishing’s convenient location next-door to Seaway's operation provides our customers with high quality and fast response for all of their “finishing” needs such as painting, EMI/RFI shielding, silk screening, Hydrographics and other secondary services.
