An aerospace technology group
Customer had existing molds for their project built offshore by a competitor, but could not pass first article inspection or meet process capability standards.
Seaway Plastics moved the tools to our offshore mold-making partner’s facility. Working closely with our partner, a significant redesign was implemented and the resulting improvements enabled the tools to work properly.
The new tooling was able to mold acceptable product, leading to the approval of the tool parts; the toos were then shipped to Seaway’s U.S. plant for production.
